The Auction indices for APX Power UK Day-Ahead Auction shall be established on a daily basis using the following methodology:
UKPX Auction Base
Non-weighted arithmetic average of the matching prices of each Hour instrument between 23:00 and 23:00 prevailing UK local time.
UKPX Auction Peak
Non-weighted arithmetic average of the matching prices of each Hour instrument between 07:00 and 19:00 prevailing UK local time.
UKPX Auction Off-peak
Non-weighted arithmetic average of the matching prices of each Hour instrument between 23:00 and 07:00 & 19:00 and 23:00 prevailing UK local time.
General Provisions
If there are no trades in the relevant term within the time period specified above, a default procedure will be employed to generate a default index value, which will be displayed as the index value for the day in question. This default procedure is as following:
- should there be an hourly price missing in the calculation. The index should be calculated using the non-weighted arithmetic average of available prices;
- the asterisk “*” will be displayed next to the index, should the procedure be employed.
Index Publishing
The APX Power UK Indices will be published on the APX Website on a daily basis after 11:00 prevailing UK local time.
